Packaging Engineer-Mechanical

Location:  Maryland

 Requirements:

     * Packaging or Mechanical Engineering Degree

    * 5+ years of experience

    * 50% travel to domestic plants, Canada and Mexico.

    * Fluent in Spanish

    * Familiarity with VFFS equipment, high speed baggers,       

      metal detectors/check scales, bundlers, casers, carton

      erectors/loaders, palletizers, stretch wrappers and

      conveyor systems.

    * Working knowledge of servo drives, optical encoders,

      positioning systems, machine sequencing, Allen Bradley PLC's

 Description:

     * Work with various vendors to identify appropriate equipment

    * Work with manufacturing to see how projects integrate with

      existing operations

    * Work with manufacturing and various suppliers to    

      select best equipment

    * Run trials at vendor sites

    * Work with purchasing to identify vendors for equipment and

      obtain pricing

    * Develop performance guarantees

    * Work with manufacturing to develop installation costs

    * Work with manufacturing on installation, commissioning of 

      new equipment

Plant Packaging Engineer-Central Ohio

 Packaging Project Engineer – MN

 Our client is looking for a corporate Project Engineer with experience and understanding of high speed packaging systems, motion control, and material handling.  This person will be the lead engineer on projects with minimal direction.  He/she will have worked on projects larger than $1MM and be able to handle multiple project assignments.  The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
